Chairs and CEOs of the world’s leading civil society organisations have a unique opportunity to step out of their pressurised positions and define goals together, at this annual meeting launched in 2008.
Over two days they discuss key strategic issues for their organisations and civil society as a whole. Experts from corporate and academic spheres join to enhance the debate.
Last event: 2-4 April, New York City, USA
Event focus: Collaborative Advocacy
Themes: The ambition to advocate on big issues is becoming increasingly relevant for most ICSOs – be it to influence multilateral processes or to form public opinions around human rights, social justice and environmental issues. The capacity to do this is mixed as even strong advocacy organisations at times lack the striking power to make a significant impact. Vision Works will provide deeper insights into current efforts and offers an opportunity for exchange over promising approaches. We will put a special emphasis on environmental issues and fighting climate change.
