Civil society is operating in an increasingly challenging narrative environment, shaped by growing polarisation, declining trust, the increasing influence of digital technologies, and the rising prevalence of hostile narratives. This makes it all the more important for civil society organisations to move beyond reacting to harmful narratives and communicate their role and value in more positive and compelling ways.

The International Civic Forum (ICF) 2026, under the theme “Shaping the Story: Building Stronger Narratives for Civil Society,” will focus on strengthening civil society’s collective narrative power. The two-day, in-person workshop will combine practical capacity-building in narrative development with collaborative exploration of shared foundations for more compelling, aligned, and adaptable narratives about civil society’s role and value.

This event is invitation-only. However, if you are interested in joining us or feel that you or your organisation should be part of the conversation, we would be very happy to hear from you.
