Digital accessibility has emerged as a critical global issue, transcending geographical boundaries and impacting both the Global North and Global South. In an increasingly interconnected world where technology is a catalyst for socio-economic development, the accessibility of digital tools becomes a determinant of inclusivity and equitable progress.
The effects of digital accessibility on urban and rural livelihoods unfold against a backdrop of evolving technological landscapes, introducing both opportunities and challenges. Digital accessibility shapes the dynamics of urban and rural livelihoods in different ways, shedding light on the persistent urban bias that exacerbates contextual disparities.
This Digital Dialogue explored the effects of digital accessibility on urban and rural livelihoods. The Dialogue will bring together different perspectives that illustrate the development and implementation of technology for development in both urban and rural communities.
