Since 2018, the Centre’s Power Shift Labs have brought together senior representatives of ICSOs and their governing bodies to explore and learn from each other how governance changes can address the problem of power imbalances – between Northern and Southern, but also between large and small, rich and resource-scarce entities of ICSOs as well as their partners.
In 2023, The Power Shift Governance Lab focused on the question of “How do we make resource distribution and accountability within International Civil Society Organisations (ICSs) more equitable?”. The event convened ICSO representatives and partners, as well as subject matter experts across the sector, to exchange on the intersection of financial resource distribution and accountability and develop pathways towards participatory and more equitable resource distribution models
