- Protection and inclusion
26th April 2021
2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
The Knowledge Exchange Programme (KEP) is designed to leverage the Leave No One Behind partner organisations’ expertise on SDG monitoring and data collection and to promote knowledge transfer within the partnership. In each webinar, an expert speaker from one of our global partners will pass on specific knowledge and learnings on a topic that is of high relevance to our joint work around LNOB by giving a ca.20–30 minutes’ presentation, followed by an exchange with the participants. The KEP webinar series runs until mid-2021, with a new webinar ca. every 2-3 weeks. Participation is open to all our global and national LNOB members. The webinars take place over Zoom and will be recorded.
Protective and inclusive approaches to programming is the way to ensure no one is left behind and affected communities with their diversity are at the heart of humanitarian responses.
In this webinar, Sherin Alsheikh Ahmed (Protection and Inclusion Advisor, Islamic Relief Worldwide), would like to share approaches, lessons and recommendations for Islamic Relief and other INGOs to improve mainstreaming protection and inclusion efforts in development and humanitarian programming. It aims to advance understanding and best practice in protection and inclusion through critical reflection on Islamic Relief’s inclusive and protective programming approach. It draws on the experience of eight countries in addressing issues of inclusion, protection and sensitive approaches to accountable programming.
